We are so excited to offer Presence Matters sessions at Palm Springs Winter Break! These sessions are designed to help you show up strong, clear, and confident—on the dance floor, in the teaching space, and beyond.
Who are the instructor-focused sessions for?
The Presence Matters workshops labeled Instructors Only are intended for current weekly instructors, current occasional instructors, current instructor helpers, and future (to-be) instructors. If teaching line dance is part of your present—or your plans—these sessions are for you. The Friday session is open to all registered dancers, while the additional topic sessions are targeted specifically toward instructors.
Friday 10:30 AM for Funky Flockers, 11:20 AM for Fancy Flyers & Rhythm Rovers | Topic for All Guests (NEW for PS Winter Break!) Showing Up Strong: Presence On and Off the Dance Floor Whether you’re dancing, teaching, or just out and about, how you show up shapes how you’re perceived—and how you feel. This fun, easy-going session explores simple body language and vocal dynamics tips to project energy, clarity, and confidence. It’s not about dance technique, but about building presence, with bonus extras for instructors.
Saturday 12:20 PM | Instructors Only How to Teach with Spark: Connecting Through Energy! Discover how to create an engaging, high-energy atmosphere that inspires and connects with every dancer. This session focuses on non-verbal cues, emotional energy, and dynamic teaching approaches. It is not a dance technique workshop—it’s about sparking connection.
Sunday 11:50 AM | Instructors Only Reach Every Dancer: How to Engage the Watchers, Listeners, and Movers Teaching tips for engaging line dancers based on individual learning preferences. This session is about helping adults learn effectively—not about choreography or technique.
Bonus Opportunity: Coaching Chats Throughout the weekend, Gerard will also offer individual coaching sessions to help you build presence and confidence in your own unique way. These personalized sessions provide focused feedback and tailored guidance.
